About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Roofing Assistant to join our team at 2580737 Ontario Inc. as a Construction Support Specialist. This is a permanent position that requires a strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Assist in the operation of mobile and tower cranes, pile driving cranes, and locomotive cranes to lift, move, and place equipment and materials.
  • Load and Unload Materials: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from construction sites.
  • Assist in Demolition: Assist in the demolition of buildings and removal of rubble and debris.
  • Support Construction Team: Assist in the erection and dismantling of concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Provide Training and Support: Instruct apprentices and provide guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Work in a Team Environment: Collaborate with the construction team to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
Work Environment

This role requires working outdoors in a construction site environment. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift heavy equipment and materials.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is required.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
