Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Supervisor at Seasons Retirement Communities. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care services to our residents and mentoring our care staff to ensure the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality nursing care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Supervise and mentor care staff, providing guidance and education to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent care services.
  • Conduct assessments of residents moving into our community and follow up with them throughout their stay to ensure their needs are met.
  • Establish priorities based on individual resident needs and develop Person-Centred Service Plans (PCC) to ensure their care is tailored to their unique needs.
  • Ensure compliance with resident assessments, service plans, and community-specific policies and procedures.
  • Manage risk by conducting thorough monthly care-related audits and ensuring medication administration is carried out safely and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations.
  • Experience working with seniors in a retirement or long-term care facility environment is an asset.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
