Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at YARROW LIMITED PARTNERSHIP. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for administering medications, applying aseptic techniques, conducting specimen collection, and ensuring infection control. You will also monitor patients' progress, evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with the healthcare team as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Apply aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Conduct specimen collection and processing for laboratory testing
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care and communication
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
