About the Role:

As an Acute Care/Obstetrics Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will report to the Department Manager in a fast-paced environment that requires balancing varying patient acuity levels and priorities while working to full scope of practice. You will utilize your excellent nursing skills to positively impact patient perception of care received, while collaborating with the interprofessional team to impact efficient patient flow and support optimal outcomes for patient populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, quality patient and family-centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of Alberta Health Services.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional team to impact efficient patient flow and support optimal outcomes for patient populations.
  • Utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to provide high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
