Position Overview

Senior Analyst, Franchise Acceptance Performance

POSITION SUMMARY

The Franchise Acceptance Performance Team is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the integrity of the Mastercard brand and network by ensuring that clients adhere to Mastercard Standards. This team oversees various global performance initiatives with a strategic emphasis on bolstering the acceptance of Mastercard products and delivering an exceptional cardholder experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive performance initiatives to tackle significant acceptance challenges, promote appropriate customer behavior, and ensure high-quality points of interaction and cardholder experiences.
  • Conduct investigations to support the Acceptor Business Code (MCC) Performance program.
  • Manage cases from initiation to resolution, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders, analyzing data, extracting insights, and educating on program requirements and procedures.
  • Independently identify performance challenges, develop and implement resolution strategies, and coordinate with relevant parties that may be affected.
  • Proactively address issues and provide recommendations to facilitate progress and resolution.
  • Effectively manage, enhance, automate, and streamline operational processes and procedures.
  • Build and leverage relationships with key stakeholders to identify opportunities and ensure prompt and effective issue resolution.
  • Recognize regional or global trends and assist in developing key performance metrics and reporting.
  • Complete ad hoc requests, engage in special projects as necessary, and provide cross-functional support as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of electronic payment processing and card brand networks.
  • Experience in analyzing and managing merchant risk and/or onboarding processes.
  • Experience in conducting investigations, with the ability to document and articulate findings clearly, attention to detail, strong intuition, and emotional intelligence.
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage with high-level internal and external contacts.
  • Self-driven, capable of working independently and taking initiative to advance cases, develop, and implement solutions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks and follow complex processes.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, prioritize tasks, consistently meet deadlines, and deliver outstanding results.
  • High level of integrity and discretion, understanding the importance of handling sensitive and confidential information responsibly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access; experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Domo, or similar business intelligence tools is advantageous.
