Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Seto Sushi. As a key member of our restaurant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our kitchen and front-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food and Supply Management
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner.
    • Ensure that all food and supplies are stored and handled in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including food preparation and portioning.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Quality Control
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
    • Ensure that all food and service meet quality control standards, adhering to Seto Sushi's culinary excellence.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
    • Prepare food order summaries for the chef to ensure seamless kitchen operations.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of the culinary industry and ability to adapt to changing menu items and promotions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate and train staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
