Position Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care while adhering to health and safety policies to maintain a safe environment for all.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, including physicians and other healthcare staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Utilize your critical thinking and problem-solving skills to prioritize patient needs and make informed decisions.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in nursing practices.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in patient assessment and education, particularly for the geriatric population.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Practical Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • A minimum of two years of recent nursing experience, preferably in a medical/surgical setting.
  • Recent completion of a health assessment course.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
