Position Title: Director of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability

Role Overview

This leadership position is an exciting opportunity focused on developing a robust Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability consulting practice. The role involves assembling a dedicated team to provide consulting services to clients in the Metals, Infrastructure, and Energy sectors, guiding them throughout the project lifecycle from initiation to completion.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing profitable external CSR and sustainability consulting initiatives that align with the long-term goals of clients, the organization, and the communities in which they operate.

This position also entails the establishment of a pioneering CSR practice for external clients while implementing internal CSR and sustainability strategies. It necessitates collaboration with various internal teams and external stakeholders to integrate CSR and sustainability principles into overarching business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a comprehensive CSR and sustainability consulting practice that addresses people, environmental, and performance aspects.
  • Create and implement a business strategy to establish a profitable consulting operation centered on CSR and Sustainability.
  • Engage with clients at the VP and CEO levels to offer expert guidance on CSR and Sustainability matters.
  • Establish and chair an internal CSR & Sustainability Steering Committee to advance business initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for all CSR and sustainability-related inquiries from clients, vendors, and governmental bodies.
  • Build strategic alliances with external organizations to enhance CSR and sustainability efforts.
  • Evaluate and prioritize critical issues in CSR and sustainability performance, instituting controls and measurement systems to monitor progress.
