About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Athabasca Hotel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that showcase our hotel's culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our guests.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent service and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that our kitchen is well-stocked and efficient.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of our kitchen and food service areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to our guests, responding to their needs and preferences and ensuring that they have a positive dining experience.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience as a cook or in a related role, with a strong background in menu planning, team leadership, and inventory management.
  • Certifications and Licenses: A Safe Food Handling certificate and a Food Safety Certificate are required.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in our hotel, and proficiency in English is required.
