Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Alba Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Dishwashing: Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and place them in storage areas.
- Food Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit as needed for menu preparation.
- Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and free of clutter.
- Maintenance: Sharpen kitchen knives and perform other maintenance tasks as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-maintained.
- Floor Care: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
- Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, with occasional lifting of up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
- Language: English
- Work Schedule: 30 to 44 hours per week
- Job Type: Permanent
