As a Commercial Insurance Consultant, your primary responsibility will be to drive new client acquisition and enhance our commercial portfolio through proactive outreach, client engagement, and sales initiatives. You will be instrumental in identifying potential clients in various business sectors, providing exceptional service, assessing risks, and delivering tailored insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiating and managing inbound and outbound communications to cultivate a robust sales pipeline, devising marketing strategies to showcase our insurance products, and contributing to our sales and growth objectives.
  • Performing risk evaluations and commercial assessments in line with underwriting standards.
  • Collaborating with clients to understand their objectives, offering risk management insights and coverage recommendations, updating policies, and documenting necessary adjustments.
  • Conducting policy evaluations to recognize evolving coverage needs, addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and escalating matters as needed.
  • Engaging in community events to enhance brand visibility and developing relationships to maximize new business prospects.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in commercial insurance sales and business development.
  • A post-secondary degree in a relevant field.
  • A valid General insurance license.
  • Progress towards the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) or Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation.

Additional Information:

  • A personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance are required.
  • Regular travel is expected.
  • This position involves direct interaction with clients and service providers.
  • Extended hours, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary.
  • A background check will be conducted as part of the hiring process for successful candidates.
