About the Role

CWB Financial Group is seeking a seasoned professional to join our dynamic team as a Business Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a personal business plan and activity-based sales strategies to deliver strong, profitable, and balanced growth of equipment loans and leases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a personal business plan and activity-based sales strategies to deliver strong, profitable, and balanced growth of equipment loans and leases.
  • Communicate directly with internal partners, customers, and external professionals (accountants, etc.).
  • Analyze financial statements and develop credit packages to support larger dollar transactions.
  • Drive the credit and lease processes through the preparation of applications and documentation.
  • Apply effective communication to ensure customer expectations are successfully achieved with all internal/external collaborators.
Requirements
  • Financial and marketing knowledge of local markets and national economies built on a foundation of formal education (business, commerce, finance, sales, marketing diploma/degree) or real-life experience (5+ years of financial services sales experience – preferably in equipment financing and leasing).
  • You don't need letters behind your name (CFA, CPA) but you will need the ability to understand financial statements, how to complete analysis, and possess a sound understanding of effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Credit adjudication experience and a basic knowledge of collateral security and documentation would be considered strong assets.
