Job Summary:

As an Operations Importation Aérienne Specialist at DSV, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth importation of air freight. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and manage the importation process, from initial receipt to final delivery. You will work closely with clients, airlines, warehouses, and trucking companies to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage daily importation operations
  • Establish and coordinate schedules with transporters and shipments
  • Create and coordinate country-specific documents
  • Ensure compliance with national and international regulations
  • Track and monitor all shipments
  • Prepare and publish reports as required
  • Identify and implement proactive solutions to problems
  • Confirm rates with transporters
  • Manage shipment costs via accounting system
  • Evaluate shipments, consolidate loads, and select the most cost-effective pickup and delivery method
  • Ensure DSV KPIs are met throughout the shipment movement
  • Analyze routes for orders to select the most suitable transportation method
  • Communicate daily with clients on relevant issues and their resolution
  • Implement new accounts, from standard operating procedure to execution

  • Support the company's commitment to ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certification
  • Perform tasks assigned to help DSV achieve quality, health, safety, and environmental objectives and follow all requirements outlined in DSV's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment policy
  • Ensure daily activities are focused on sustainability, health, and safety, reducing the impact on the environment, supporting communities we work with, and reducing workplace incidents

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of experience in international transportation or
  • Studies in supply chain logistics or a related field
  • CIFFA certification is an asset
  • Dangerous Goods certification is an asset
  • BPD training, if applicable

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent command of French and English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to create collaborative engagements and active listening
  • Customer service orientation and ability to resolve client complaints
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build professional relationships internally and externally
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, plan, prioritize, and manage time effectively to achieve objectives and results
  • Ability to establish a team and team spirit
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Languages and IT Skills:

  • Proficiency in French and English
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Microsoft Office suite
  • CargoWise experience is an asset

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk working on a computer
  • Regular working hours apply to this position, but at times, working beyond these hours may be required due to operational needs
