Position Overview
As the Head of Platform Engineering, you will be responsible for the strategic oversight of integrating robust security protocols within our DevOps methodologies and throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Your leadership will ensure the delivery of secure and dependable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive DevSecOps strategy that aligns with our SDLC, focusing on automation, security scanning, and CI/CD practices utilizing GitHub and GitHub Actions.
2. Advocate for trunk-based development methodologies, employing merge-queue in GitHub to enhance our development workflow, reduce integration times, and elevate code quality.
3. Design and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructures leveraging AWS Cloud technologies, upholding the highest standards of security and reliability.
4. Integrate security practices at every phase of the SDLC, from initial design to deployment, to mitigate risks and bolster our security posture.
5. Mentor and lead a dynamic team of DevSecOps engineers and developers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and security awareness.

Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Extensive experience in DevSecOps, with a profound understanding of securing cloud environments, particularly through AWS Cloud services.
- Strong proficiency in GitHub and GitHub Actions for automating development workflows, with an emphasis on trunk-based development and merge-queue strategies.
- A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience in integrating security measures throughout the cycle to effectively mitigate risks.
- Proven leadership capabilities, with a focus on guiding and developing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- Strategic and analytical thinking skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration across various technical teams and with senior management.
