Key Responsibilities- Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for a variety of server, network, and applicative surveillance tools.
- Analysis and Problem-Solving: Conduct thorough analysis and resourcefulness to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Documentation and Knowledge Management: Search for answers in existing documentation and document new items to maintain a knowledge base.
- Operating System and Scripting Knowledge: Possess knowledge of operating systems (Linux/Unix, Windows) and scripting languages (bash, python, powershell).
- Monitoring and Ticketing Systems: Familiarity with monitoring applications and ticketing systems.
- Networking and Interdepartmental Collaboration: Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP) and experience working with multiple business areas and services.
- Leadership and Coaching: Lead and coach other business analysts at all levels.
- Liaison and Communication: Act as a liaison between the IT development group and business units for support and enhancement of systems.
- Requirements Evaluation and Recommendations: Evaluate new applications and identify systems requirements, and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements.
- Communication and Presentation: Prepare communications and make presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives.
- Work Environment: Work under the direction of an IT Manager, with a requirement to work on our campus office three times a week, 7.5 hours per day.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in French and English.
- Work Hours and Location: Normal 37.5 hours weeks working onsite up to 3 days a week, with a location onsite in Saint John, New Brunswick.
- Job Type and Contract: Temporary Contractor with a 12-month contract and the possibility of extension.
