Black & McDonald is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising staff and subcontractors working on various Black & McDonald FMO accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction for facility operations, including work order management and staff supervision.
  • Collaborate with customer stakeholders, supervisors, and EHS to develop work plans and complete risk assessments.
  • Ensure all training and certification requirements for staff are met, and conduct regular site inspections to identify and address operational issues.
  • Formulate action plans for facility operational and emerging issues, and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff, and participate in vendor performance meetings to ensure contractual deliverables are met.
  • Support the preparation of Quarterly Business Reviews, and provide updates to customer designates during regular meetings.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the success of the team.
Competency Requirements
  • Familiarity with software packages and management tools, including JDE, DSI, and CMMS Dashboards.
  • Advanced analytical and time management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Understanding of Facility Management processes and standards, either through work experience or qualifications.
  • Outstanding knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with customers, staff, and vendors.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • A university degree or equivalent post-secondary degree in a field of study related to the job requirements.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a Building Operations position, with a trade license or FMP/FMA designation considered an asset.
