The Infrastructure Intelligence Unit is on the lookout for a proficient Senior Policy Analyst who will deliver expert guidance on infrastructure policy within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Your contributions will be vital in shaping the province's approach to strategic, evidence-based infrastructure investments across various government sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

In this position, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate projects aimed at conceptualizing, developing, and recommending strategic policy options.
  • Engage in strategic planning, analyze emerging issues, provide sound policy advice, and make informed recommendations.
  • Oversee comprehensive project planning and management, including establishing timelines, deliverables, and managing consultant procurement.
  • Develop stakeholder consultation processes and manage relationships for collaboration and advice.
Qualifications:
Research, Analytical, and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Demonstrated research experience, including quantitative and qualitative analysis, to conduct environmental scans and best practice evaluations.
  • Ability to assess new or modified policies and evaluate their impact on infrastructure policy and planning.
  • Skill in analyzing proposals and stakeholder interests to formulate policy options and resolve concerns.
Technical Expertise
  • Extensive experience in policy development processes and knowledge of strategic directions to formulate policy options.
  • Familiarity with government capital planning, asset management, procurement, and economic theory in a policy context.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills
  • Strong consultation skills to garner support for infrastructure planning policies and address emerging issues.
  • Consensus-building abilities to maintain relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  • Experience in collaborative team environments to deliver projects successfully.
  • Facilitation and presentation skills to communicate policy and program recommendations effectively.
  • Proficient written communication skills for preparing reports, briefing materials, and correspondence.
Project Management Skills
  • Proven project management capabilities to lead and participate in strategic policy development projects.
