We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Nurse to join our team at PHSA. As a Research Nurse, you will play a critical role in the coordination and implementation of clinical trials, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of cancer research.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and implement clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and study protocols.
- Provide direct patient care, including physical assessments, medication administration, and education on disease management and treatment options.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Conduct research studies, collecting and analyzing data, and contributing to the development of new treatments and therapies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, researchers, and patients, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in oncology, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes and care.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
- Two (2) years of recent related clinical nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Certification in oncology nursing is required (or must obtain certification within one year of employment).
- Relevant clinical research knowledge and experience, including knowledge of research process and methodology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and open communication.
