Nurse Researcher in Indigenous Cultural Safety

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of British Columbia. The successful candidate will hold the newly established Providence Health Care / UBC Professorship in Indigenous Cultural Safety and Nursing.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a nurse researcher to contribute to advancing Indigenous Cultural Safety in Nursing. The successful candidate will work in partnership with nursing and Indigenous wellness leadership at Providence Health Care to develop an independent program of research focused on Indigenous Cultural Safety.
Responsibilities- Develop and lead a research program focused on Indigenous Cultural Safety in Nursing
- Contribute to teaching, mentorship, and clinical services aligned with the focus of the Professorship
- Strengthen the relationship between Providence Health Care and the UBC School of Nursing
- Advance the leadership of the two organizations to promote Indigenous Cultural Safety and Nursing
The successful candidate will have a PhD in nursing or a related discipline, practice experience in nursing, and be registered or eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives. They will also have demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching.
