Job Title: Research Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Nurse to join our team at BC Cancer. As a Research Nurse, you will play a critical role in the coordination and implementation of clinical trials, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and implement clinical trials, including patient recruitment, informed consent, and data collection.
  • Provide nursing care to patients participating in clinical trials, including physical assessments, medication administration, and symptom management.
  • Collaborate with research teams to develop and implement study protocols, including consent forms and data collection tools.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding clinical trials and research procedures.
  • Participate in the evaluation and planning of research studies, including data analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Two (2) years of recent related clinical nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Certification in oncology nursing is required (or must obtain certification within one year of employment).
  • Relevant clinical research knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to lead and participate in quantitative and qualitative research projects.
  • Knowledge of research process and methodology.
