About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at The Great Canadian Landscaping Company Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of various landscaping projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hiring and Supervision: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of landscape technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Project Planning: Plan and estimate labor and materials required for each project, ensuring that all necessary resources are allocated and that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Task Management: Schedule and coordinate the work of landscape technicians, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to ensure that work is being performed to the highest standards and that all quality control measures are in place.
  • Material Management: Requisition and manage the ordering of materials and equipment required for projects.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any issues that may arise during projects, providing technical advice and guidance to team members as needed.
  • Operations Management: Plan and organize daily operations, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Performance Evaluation: Evaluate the performance of landscape technicians, providing feedback and coaching to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in landscaping or a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license.
  • Personal Qualities: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
