Restaurant Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Yamiyaki Japanese Restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen and ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities- Food and Supply Management
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring minimal waste and optimal inventory levels.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and compliance.
- Quality Control and Reporting
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, including inventory levels, sales, and wastage.
- Administrative Tasks
- Prepare budget and cost estimates, ensuring accurate forecasting and financial management.
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business decision-making.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Permanent employment with a minimum of 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
