Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Team Lead to join our team at Jimmy the Greek. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food is prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our customers.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they are meeting our high standards.
  • Food Service Operations
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that our food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare and submit reports as required.
  • Customer Service
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that they are satisfied with their dining experience.
  • Human Resources
    • Hire food service staff, ensuring that they meet our high standards and are able to work effectively as part of our team.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience
    • Will train, but previous experience in a food service management role is an asset.
  • Work Setting
    • Restaurant environment.
  • Supervision
    • 1 to 2 people.
  • Work Term
    • Permanent.
  • Work Language
    • English.
  • Hours
    • 30 hours per week.
