Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Office Administrator to join our team at Haulage North America Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our office operations, ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement new administrative procedures to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Review and evaluate existing administrative procedures to identify areas for improvement
  • Delegate tasks to office support staff to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
  • Carry out administrative activities of the establishment, including data entry and report preparation
  • Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation
  • Coordinate and plan for office services, including accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance, and security services
  • Assist in the preparation of the operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls
  • Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals, and correspondence
  • Train staff on new procedures and policies
  • Oversee and coordinate office administrative procedures
  • Resolve conflict situations and provide coaching and guidance to staff
  • Commission systems and components to ensure efficient operation
Supervision

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of 5-10 people.

Computer and Technology Knowledge
  • Spreadsheet software, including MS Excel
  • MS PowerPoint and MS Word

This is a temporary full-time position, working 32-40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in English.
