Job Overview

This position requires on-site presence at our office. Initially, the role will be fully in-office, transitioning to a hybrid model after acclimatization.

We are seeking a dedicated Pension Administration Support Specialist to enhance our operations. The specialist will serve as a primary resource for all inquiries related to pension clients, particularly those in the process of terminating or retiring. This role involves providing administrative assistance to the pension team, focusing on member inquiries and pension withdrawals, while collaborating closely with the lead team member on pension transactions that do not necessitate licensing.

Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the pension consultant and key administrative personnel to assist plan administrators with daily operational queries. Collect and organize relevant data from multiple sources, entering it into Excel spreadsheets. Utilize data analysis tools, such as Excel, to interpret and manage data effectively. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and relevance of report outputs through thorough review and validation. Identify and rectify any discrepancies or formatting errors. Facilitate pension member information sessions, including personalized one-on-one meetings. Serve as the first point of contact for incoming phone inquiries. Manage incoming correspondence related to pension client members, particularly phone inquiries regarding projections, investment alterations, and beneficiary updates. Process pension member account cash-outs and other related administrative tasks that do not require licensing. Maintain communication with pension members. Qualifications: Strong administrative capabilities. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills are essential. Experience in the pension or retirement sector is advantageous. Familiarity with Pension Plan Structures, Governance, and Legislation is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently. Excellent listening and communication skills, with strong written proficiency. Strong interpersonal and professional skills for client and staff interactions.
