This position requires on-site presence in a collaborative office environment.

We are seeking a dedicated Pension Administration Support Specialist to provide essential administrative assistance and serve as a primary contact for pension client member inquiries, particularly for those in the process of terminating or retiring from their plans. The role involves supporting the pension team with member inquiries and pension withdrawals, while collaborating closely with senior team members on pension transactions that do not necessitate licensing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with pension consultants and key administrative personnel to assist plan administrators with daily operational queries and concerns.
  • Collect and organize relevant data from multiple sources for input into Excel spreadsheets.
  • Utilize data analysis tools (such as Excel) to interpret and manage data effectively.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and relevance of report outputs.
  • Identify and rectify any discrepancies or formatting errors in documentation.
  • Facilitate pension member information sessions, including one-on-one consultations.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for incoming phone inquiries.
  • Manage incoming correspondence related to pension client members, including inquiries about projections, investment modifications, and beneficiary updates.
  • Process pension member account cash-outs and related administrative tasks that do not require licensing.
  • Communicate effectively with pension members regarding their inquiries.
Qualifications:
  • Strong administrative capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills are vital for success in this role.
  • Experience in the pension or retirement sector is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Pension Plan Structures, Governance, and Legislation is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, with strong written proficiency.
  • Strong interpersonal and professional skills when interacting with clients and colleagues.
