Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated PLAA Coordinator to collaborate with the Permits, Licenses, Approvals, and Agreements (PLAA) Manager. This role is crucial in managing various work streams related to environmental considerations, utilities, civil engineering, and track operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in liaising with third-party stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and local authorities, to ensure compliance and facilitate project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, submit, and monitor permit applications in accordance with the requirements set forth by various authorities.
- Engage with stakeholders effectively, balancing diverse interests and priorities.
- Develop and implement project systems to anticipate PLAA and land needs.
- Track and report on metrics related to third-party technical issues, including PLAAs and land requirements.
- Utilize GIS software to analyze geospatial data and coordinate inputs with GIS specialists.
- Employ Microsoft Excel for managing extensive datasets efficiently.
- Assist in the timely compilation of PLAA applications, ensuring alignment with project timelines.
- Analyze technical engineering documents to ensure adherence to permitting and approval standards.
- Support compliance with PLAAs and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Facilitate communication among cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and contractors.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Organize and maintain comprehensive project documentation and records.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance processes related to third-party interactions.
- Participate in technical discussions with authorities and subject matter experts.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Urban Planning or Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Experience in rail transit construction is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and willing to engage with GIS technology.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Capable of analyzing and presenting complex data effectively.
- Resourceful and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative.
