Overview of the Senior Site Reliability Engineer Role at Northbridge Financial Corporation

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for the establishment and execution of Service Level Objectives (SLOs). This role involves managing service reliability solutions and processes of increasing intricacy, along with mentoring and guiding junior SREs.

Collaborating with systems analysts, solution architects, data specialists, and business stakeholders to grasp the site reliability requirements of the organization. Designing, developing, testing, and documenting sophisticated site reliability solutions within a multifaceted environment to align technical capabilities with business objectives. Partnering with a team of analysts, engineers, management, and business stakeholders to pinpoint site reliability solutions while evaluating their technical and business feasibility, as well as their impact on the enterprise's systems. Overseeing daily operations and performance of site reliability solutions and applications. Investigating, assessing, and proposing operational procedures and best practices to enhance processes and workflow efficiencies. Supporting the training and development of team members, while providing technical guidance and insights regarding products, systems, and processes. Cultivating and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of company operations/procedures, as well as trends and developments in the insurance industry, to strengthen security processes.

Required qualifications include:

A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, MIS, or a related field is essential. Over 7 years of experience in software development or architecture. Proven, hands-on experience in a DevOps or System Administration capacity. Previous experience in building and supporting cloud-based solutions.
