Overview of the Senior Site Reliability Engineer Role at Northbridge Financial Corporation
The Senior Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for the development and execution of Service Level Objectives (SLOs). This role involves managing complex service reliability solutions and processes, as well as mentoring and guiding junior SREs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with systems analysts, solution designers, data architects, and business stakeholders to gather and understand site reliability requirements.
- Design, implement, test, and document sophisticated site reliability solutions within a multifaceted environment to ensure alignment with both technical and business objectives.
- Work alongside a team of analysts, engineers, management, and business stakeholders to pinpoint site reliability solutions while evaluating their technical and business viability and impact on enterprise systems.
- Oversee the daily operations and performance of site reliability solutions and applications.
- Investigate, assess, and propose operational procedures and best practices to enhance processes and workflow efficiencies.
- Support the training and development of team members, providing technical guidance and insights regarding products, systems, and processes.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of company operations, procedures, and trends in the insurance industry to strengthen security processes.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, management information systems, or a related field is required.
- Over 7 years of experience in software development or architecture.
- Proven hands-on experience in a DevOps or System Administration capacity.
- Previous experience in building and supporting cloud-based solutions.
