Job Summary

Ferrovial is seeking a highly skilled Road Maintenance Technician - Infrastructure Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our road infrastructure assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs of roads, highways, and other infrastructure assets to ensure they are safe and functional.
  • Conduct inspections and assessments of infrastructure assets to identify potential issues and develop maintenance plans.
  • Operate and maintain a range of equipment and vehicles, including heavy machinery and specialized vehicles.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to ensure optimal asset performance and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct training and coaching of other team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in infrastructure maintenance and repair.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Minimum one year of experience in infrastructure maintenance and repair; experience with heavy machinery and equipment operation an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
  • CDL, DOT/MTO certifications, and electrical and welding certifications an asset.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to traffic and outdoor weather conditions. The physical demands of the job include standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces is also required.
