About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join Island Health - Vancouver Island Health Authority as a Strategic Development Consultant. As a key member of the Organizational Development team, you will play a vital role in building organizational effectiveness and resilience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advice and support to build organizational effectiveness and resilience
  • Design and deliver leadership and employee development programs
  • Work with various People and Organizational Development employees to design and develop courses and programs
  • Deliver training and evaluate program quality and effectiveness
  • Provide consulting and coaching to leaders and organizational partners on change initiatives
  • Partner with leaders and other organizational partners to analyze and clarify complex program issues and objectives
  • Design, implement, and evaluate strategies and interventions to enhance individual, team, and program effectiveness
  • Ensure integration and alignment of training and organization development programs and services
  • Research and monitor trends in training and organization development
  • Provide expertise and recommendations to various committees and working groups
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's Degree in Organization Development, Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behaviour, Human Resource Management, Adult Education, or a related discipline
  • Five (5) years' recent relevant experience in a complex healthcare organization
  • Trainer certifications, including MBTI, Consulting, Coaching, and Training
  • ICF credential and/or CHRP designation (an asset)
