Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Consultant specializing in Compensation and Work Conditions to enhance our national Human Resources team. In this role, you will serve as a key resource, offering strategic guidance and support on matters related to compensation and work conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advice on compensation and work conditions, delivering integrated solutions to complex challenges while aligning with business objectives and organizational values.
  • Identify opportunities for value creation and proactively suggest necessary adjustments or enhancements to existing practices.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with supported groups, actively engaging in team meetings and client group initiatives as a compensation authority.
  • Lead or participate in projects and initiatives that involve collaboration with executive leadership.
  • Oversee the revision or development of policies and programs, ensuring effective deployment, including the creation of communication materials and change management strategies.
  • Conduct comprehensive impact analyses of total compensation and work conditions, collaborating closely with HR professionals, Legal Services, and other business units.
  • Contribute to the professional development of team members and the broader HR community.
  • Stay informed about market trends, compensation practices, work conditions, and legislative changes.
  • Facilitate training and informational sessions.
  • Assist in the administration of the compensation team's routine operations, including annual audits and compensation surveys.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in compensation analysis and consulting or human resources.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is essential for regular interactions with English-speaking colleagues nationwide.
  • Strong organizational skills, results-oriented mindset, and pragmatic approach.
  • Critical thinking and persuasive communication abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Advanced problem-solving capabilities.
  • Professionalism and discretion in all interactions.
  • Familiarity with Workday is an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
