About the role
We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant, Compensation and working conditions to join our national Human Resources team. You will act as a resource person, providing strategic advice and support on compensation and working conditions issues.
What you'll do here:
- Provide advice on compensation and working conditions and propose integrated solutions to complex issues, taking into account business needs and alignment with organizational values and best practices.
- Detect value-generating opportunities and proactively identify practices requiring adjustment or improvement.
- Establish and maintain a partnership with supported groups and actively participate in team meetings and client group projects as a compensation expert.
- Lead or participate in projects and initiatives that may involve discussions and interactions with executives.
- Lead or participate in the revision or development of policies and programs and ensure their deployment, including creation of communication materials and change management.
- Conduct impact analysis of total compensation and working conditions, working closely with members of the HR community, Legal Services or other business units.
- Contribute to skills development within the team and the HR community.
- Keep abreast of market trends, compensation practices, working conditions and legislative changes.
- Lead training and information sessions.
- Participate in the administration of the compensation team's regular operations (annual audits, compensation and employment surveys, etc.).
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, actuarial or relevant field
- A minimum of 8 years' relevant experience in analysis and consulting in compensation or human resources
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bilingualism in French and English is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
- Pragmatism, organizational skills and results orientation
- Critical thinking and influencing skills
- Thoroughness and attention to detail
- Complex problem-solving skills
- Professionalism and discretion
- Knowledge of Workday (asset)
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (required)
