JOB SUMMARY

This role will encompass all branches within the Central District.

Key Objectives: Facilitate equipment operator training and general safety education for both customers and employees through various methods. Organize public training sessions on a quarterly basis to provide clients with multiple options for enrollment and enhance productivity. Offer private training sessions to clients upon request. Ensure timely completion of training records in CB Canada's systems for proper documentation and retrieval. Collaborate with sales teams to promote safety training opportunities and expand the Safety Training division.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver equipment operator certification and general safety training for customers and, to a lesser extent, employees through various modalities, including Instructor-Led Training and Virtual Training.
  • Publish public training schedules on CB Canada's training platform on a quarterly basis to offer clients various class options for enrollment.
  • Provide private training sessions at either a CB Canada branch or customer location as requested.
  • Maintain accurate training records in CB Canada's systems for documentation and retrieval in accordance with company policies. Ensure the issuance of customer wallet cards within 24 hours of class completion.
  • Stay updated on new adult training methodologies and courses to instruct clients on a variety of safety topics. Maintain current training and equipment operator certifications.
  • Conduct Train the Trainer (TtT) courses for clients.
  • Enhance productivity through various efficiency measures, such as maximizing class attendance and optimizing scheduling.
  • Support sales teams in closing safety training opportunities and expanding the Safety Training business. Create promotional materials to advertise safety training offerings to local clients.
  • Assist the Certified Evaluator team by providing practical evaluations for customers who have completed the online equipment certification coursework and written examinations.
  • Support Branch Managers in onboarding and training new District Safety Trainers, Employee Trainers, and Certified Evaluators.
  • Act as a consultant regarding safety issues and standards for CB Canada employees and clients.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience and certification in heavy equipment operation (MEWP, Forklift, Earth Moving).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry safety standards, practices, and regulations.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles.
  • Dependable, organized, motivated, and self-driven.
  • Customer-focused and solution-oriented.
  • Willingness to travel; overnight travel may be necessary (10%-15%).
  • Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree.
  • Bilingual in French.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
