POSITION SUMMARY
This role encompasses all branches within the Central District.
Key Objectives:
Deliver equipment operator training and general safety instruction for both customers and employees through various methods. Schedule public training sessions on a rolling three-month basis to provide clients with multiple options for enrollment and enhance productivity. Offer private training sessions upon customer request. Ensure timely completion of training records in CB Canada's systems for documentation and retrieval. Collaborate with sales teams to secure safety training opportunities and expand the Safety Training division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct certification training for equipment operators and general safety training for customers, and occasionally for employees, utilizing diverse instructional methods including Instructor-Led Training and Virtual Training.
- Publish public training schedules on CB Canada's training platform on a rolling three-month calendar to offer customers various options for enrollment.
- Provide private training sessions at CB Canada branch locations or customer sites as requested.
- Maintain accurate training records in CB Canada's systems for documentation and retrieval in accordance with company policies. Initiate the issuance of customer wallet cards within 24 hours of course completion.
- Stay updated on new adult training techniques and courses to instruct customers on a variety of safety topics. Maintain current certifications in training and equipment operation.
- Facilitate Train the Trainer (TtT) courses for customers.
- Enhance productivity through various efficiency measures, such as maximizing class attendance and effective scheduling.
- Support sales teams in closing safety training opportunities and expanding the Safety Training business. Create promotional materials to advertise safety training offerings to local clients.
- Assist the Certified Evaluator team by providing practical evaluations for customers who have completed online equipment certification coursework and written exams.
- Support Branch Managers in onboarding and training new District Safety Trainers, Employee Trainers, and Certified Evaluators.
- Act as a consultant on safety issues and standards for CB Canada employees and clients.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Experience and certification in heavy equipment operation (MEWP, Forklift, Earth Moving).
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry safety standards, practices, and regulations.
- Familiarity with adult learning methodologies.
- Dependable, organized, motivated, and self-driven.
- Customer-service oriented with a solutions-focused approach.
- Willingness to travel; overnight travel may be necessary (10%-15%).
- Proficient in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications:
- College degree.
- Bilingual in French.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
