Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Eddy Current Testing (ECT) Trainee to join our team at BWX Technologies, Inc.

The successful candidate will assist senior ECT technicians in performing routine technical assignments, including mock-up maintenance, general tool assortment, and inventory management.

As a Trainee, you will participate in site execution of outage and inspection projects, perform general NDE-related tasks in the field, and support senior techs on pre-deployment activities.

You will be responsible for accurately completing inspection forms, logs, records, and check sheets, and assisting with review of equipment prior to site deployment.

The ideal candidate will have a Technician/Technologist diploma in an electrical, mechanical, or NDE discipline, and be in the process of obtaining a Level I NDT Technician certification with ECT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior ECT technicians in performing routine technical assignments
  • Participate in site execution of outage and inspection projects
  • Perform general NDE-related tasks in the field
  • Support senior techs on pre-deployment activities

  • Assist with review of equipment prior to site deployment

Requirements:

  • Technician/Technologist diploma in an electrical, mechanical, or NDE discipline
  • Level I NDT Technician certification with ECT in progress
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to recognize and resolve conflict
