Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Eddy Current Testing Trainee to join our team at BWX Technologies, Inc. in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior ECT technicians with routine technical assignments and support the execution of outage and inspection projects.
  • Participate in site execution of projects, performing general NDE-related tasks and supporting senior technicians with pre-deployment activities.
  • Accurately complete inspection forms, logs, records, and check sheets with guidance from the acquisition operator.
  • Assist with review of equipment prior to site deployment and set up tests using various test materials and equipment.
  • Prepare equipment or hardware for operation and execute parts of field tests with guidance from ET Level I or II employees.
  • Adhere to all quality and safety standards and demonstrate a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Awareness of and appreciation for the process of Continuous Improvement.

Requirements:

  • Technician/Technologist diploma in an electrical, mechanical, or NDE discipline or equivalent related experience (0 to 2 years).
  • Level I NDT Technician with ECT certificate in progress.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to recognize and resolve conflict.

Total Compensation Package:

The base salary range for this position in Ontario is expected to be between $48,000 and $68,000 per year. The total compensation package may also include an annual cash incentive and a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
