Job Description/Duties:

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Inspection Services Eddy Current Testing Trainee.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior technicians with routine technical assignments, including mock-up maintenance, tool assortment, and inventory management.
  • Participate in site execution of outage and inspection projects, gaining hands-on experience in Eddy Current Testing.
  • Perform general NDE-related tasks in the field, including setup and calibration of equipment.
  • Support senior technicians with pre-deployment activities, ensuring equipment is properly prepared for site deployment.
  • Accurately complete inspection forms, logs, records, and check sheets, with guidance from experienced technicians.
  • Assist with review of equipment prior to site deployment, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Prepare equipment or hardware for operation, adhering to established procedures.
  • Execute parts of field tests under the guidance of experienced technicians, developing skills and knowledge in Eddy Current Testing.
  • Adhere to all quality and safety standards, demonstrating a strong focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Technician/Technologist diploma in an electrical, mechanical, or NDE discipline, or equivalent related experience.
  • Level I NDT Technician with ECT certificate in progress.
  • Ability to work up to 70-80% site work/travel, with strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities.

Compensation: The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $48,000 and $68,000 per year, with additional compensation elements including an annual cash incentive and a full range of medical, retirement, and other benefits.
