Job Summary:

The Inspection Services Eddy Current Testing Trainee assists senior ECT technicians with routine technical assignments, including mock-up maintenance, tool assortment, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in site execution of outage and inspection projects under close supervision.
  • Perform general NDE-related tasks in the field, including setup and calibration of equipment.
  • Support senior technicians with pre-deployment activities and review of equipment.
  • Accurately complete inspection forms, logs, and records with guidance from the acquisition operator.
  • Assist with review of equipment prior to site deployment and setup of tests using various test materials and equipment.
  • Prepare equipment or hardware for operation and execute parts of field tests with guidance from ET Level I or II employees.
  • Adhere to quality and safety standards and demonstrate a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Awareness of and appreciation for the process of Continuous Improvement.
Requirements:
  • Technician/Technologist diploma in an electrical, mechanical, or NDE discipline or equivalent related experience.
  • Level I NDT Technician with ECT certificate in progress.
  • Up to 70% to 80% site work/travel expected.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to recognize and resolve conflict.
Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $48,000 and $68,000 per year, with additional elements such as an annual cash incentive and full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
