Position Overview

As a key member of our team, the Senior Financial Accountant will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This role is crucial in ensuring the precise and efficient execution of our financial reporting processes.
  • Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, invoicing, accounts receivable, and daily trust account reconciliations;
  • Prepare month-end closing entries and assist in the preparation of monthly account reconciliations;
  • Support payroll processing and maintain accurate records;
  • Assist in the preparation of government filings and compile financial data to support various departments and affiliated companies;
  • Facilitate corporate audit preparations and address inquiries from auditors;
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis as needed;
  • Perform additional office-related tasks as required;
Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Intermediate-level accounting education;
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity;
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks effectively;
  • Familiarity with the investment sector and strong business acumen is advantageous.
Technical Proficiency
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications;
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus;
  • Familiarity with Quickbooks is beneficial;
  • Experience with Jet Reports financial reporting software is an asset.
