About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Intact Financial Corporation. Reporting to the Director of Financial Operations and Agile, the ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excel in cross-team collaboration, and thrive in a multitasking environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Technology and Lab teams to design and implement a comprehensive financial operations strategy organization-wide.
  • Suggest tools necessary to enhance our financial operations function across the company.
  • Supervise and lead the financial operations team to ensure efficient performance of their duties.
  • Develop financial operations capabilities including tooling, reporting, governance, budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders in IT, Business, Finance, and Procurement.
  • Coordinate with IT departments to plan and budget for infrastructure requirements, including cloud scalability cost projections.
  • Work with various IT teams to implement effective cost management strategies.
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives by recommending cost-effective solutions and identifying areas for efficiency improvement.
  • Define and track relevant metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to monitor performance.
  • Manage technology ROI and present insightful reports to senior management for decision-making.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, computer science, or equivalent field.
  • Proficient in cloud technologies, infrastructure platforms, and IT finance topics.
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience with team management background.
  • Familiarity with financial operations methodologies and IT finance concepts.
  • Preferably possess a financial operations certified practitioner credential.
  • Strong presentation, training, and communication skills.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and well-organized with effective leadership abilities.
  • Fluency in English and French for candidates in Quebec.
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
