About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at SUN SET GRILL. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food service and maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that food is prepared and served to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of stock, supplies, and equipment, and ensure that inventory levels are adequate to meet customer demand.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, servers, and hosts/hostesses, to ensure that they are performing their duties to the highest standards.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all food and beverages meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer complaints and feedback in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work Schedules: Establish and maintain work schedules for kitchen staff, ensuring that adequate coverage is provided at all times.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for kitchen staff, to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment
  • Work Setting: Restaurant
  • Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, physically demanding work environment
  • Personal Suitability: Team player, reliability, organized, attention to detail
