Licensed Practical Nurse Role Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide reliable clinical care to fulfill the needs of Residents and their families, working in partnership with the interdisciplinary team. Key responsibilities include leading the Health Care Aide team, fostering relationships, and facilitating the application of knowledge within the care environment. The LPN will also oversee the activities carried out by Health Care Aides to ensure quality and safety in patient care.

Key Qualifications
  • Education & Certification:
    Completion of a Practical Nurse program with current registration with CLPNA.
  • Experience:
    A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is desirable.
  • Personal Competencies:
    Familiarity with nursing best practice standards, fundamental care practices, the scope of practice as defined by CLPNA, and a commitment to safe work practices.

This role is essential in delivering high-quality care to Residents and their families.
