Licensed Practical Nurse

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Alberta Health Services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Manager of ER, you will administer safe and effective nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and nursing care standards. Your expertise will be utilized to provide a wide range of nursing services to patients, families, and communities, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will work collaboratively with an interprofessional healthcare team to provide patient-centered care, promoting health and wellness while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer safe and effective nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and nursing care standards.
- Provide a wide range of nursing services to patients, families, and communities.
- Collaborate with an interprofessional healthcare team to provide patient-centered care.
- Utilize critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to provide high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
- Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
