Sunbelt Rentals, recognized as the fastest-growing rental enterprise in North America, is in search of a Regional Sales Director. In this pivotal role, you will partner with the Regional Vice President (RVP) to continuously refine, articulate, and execute the overarching market strategy for your designated area, focusing on the enhancement of the sales culture and operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Management of Key Accounts:
- Establish quarterly objectives for Key Account Representatives in alignment with seasonal and market dynamics.
- Provide guidance and resources to District Managers (DMs) for effective management of Key Accounts within their territories.
- Engage with National, Strategic, and Key Account clients to strengthen relationships and promote Sunbelt Rentals' offerings, while contributing to the growth of the Key Account initiative.
- Facilitate communication of key account opportunities across various districts and regions within Sunbelt.
Sales Support:
- Collaborate with the RVP and DMs to design and implement sales training programs.
- Partner with the RVP on strategies regarding sales territory coverage, pricing initiatives, and fleet utilization goals.
- Work alongside DMs and Product Category Managers (PCMs) to develop and execute market-specific sales strategies.
- Assist in the recruitment, selection, and development of Outside Sales Representatives (OSRs) in conjunction with DMs, PCMs, and Human Resources.
- Coordinate with the Sales Support Team to create and validate sales territories.
- Support the development and enhancement of Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) in collaboration with the RVP, DMs, and PCMs.
Operational Support:
- Collaborate with the RVP to develop, communicate, and implement regional market strategies.
- Support the fleet readiness standards through collaboration with DMs, PCMs, and Shop Foremen during facility visits.
- Work with the RVP and DMs to establish facility appearance standards across all locations in the region.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent experience.
- 5 to 7 years of demonstrated sales experience.
- Strong leadership and organizational capabilities.
- Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
- Capacity to engage across all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Aptitude for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to inspire and drive results through others.
- Proven track record of achieving results aligned with Sunbelt's values and objectives.
- Willingness to travel extensively; must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Physical requirements include the ability to lift, bend, squat, reach, crouch, and kneel, as well as the capacity to sit for extended periods.
The physical demands of this role necessitate the ability to perform tasks such as bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more, with work conducted both indoors and outdoors as required. Compensation: Base Pay Range: $125,709.60. The total compensation package includes base pay along with a comprehensive commission plan.
