About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Hydro Tech Inc. as a key member of our hydroelectric project team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis to ensure the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanical systems and components.
  • Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement risk management plans to mitigate potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess business opportunities and develop strategies for growth and development.
  • Develop and review designs, calculations, and cost estimates for mechanical systems and components.
  • Supervise and review the work of technicians, technologists, and other engineers to ensure high-quality results.
Requirements
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation.
  • Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks software, AutoCAD, MS Windows, MS Office, MS Excel, and Primavera.
  • Experience in installation, maintenance, and inspection of equipment or facilities, quality assurance or control, and project planning.
  • Knowledge of hydro power generation stations and hydroelectric projects.
