We are a leading consulting firm specializing in hydroelectric projects, seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead our hydroelectric projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a focus on hydroelectric power generation.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for improving the design, operation, and performance of hydroelectric systems
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize system efficiency and reduce costs
- Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Investigate and resolve mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement project plans, including project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our services and deliverables
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association
- Experience in hydroelectric power generation, mechanical engineering, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other relevant software
