About the Role

The Regional Primary Care Transformation Partner will play a key role in driving the transformation of primary care in the Northern Region. This individual will work closely with physician leaders, executive directors of divisions, and health authority senior leaders to facilitate and align activities, guide vision and strategy, resolve issues, and eliminate barriers to advance primary care transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build common understanding of issues and priorities between partner groups.
  • Ability to set shared objectives necessary for obtaining feedback and assistance.
  • Frame issues to present opportunities and difficulties.
  • Maintains effective communication by sharing ideas, best practices, trends, and exploring opportunities with client groups.
  • Attends and maintains relationships with relevant formal and informal professional groups and organizations.
  • Seeks referrals from others with relevant expertise and influence.

Requirements

  • An undergraduate university degree in a recognized and related field, and up to four years of progressive and relevant experience; an equivalent level of related work experience in-lieu of post-secondary education will be considered.
  • A Master's degree in a health or business-related field is preferred.
  • Proven ability to collaborate significantly with peers organization-wide.
  • Previous success working highly autonomously, with nominal direction while practicing discretion and judgment.
  • Ability to conduct highly complex and highly specialized work activities associated with your partner group and provide expert advice and solutions to achieve broader organizational results.
  • Skilled at providing strategic guidance to develop a common agenda, and serving as a thought leader/standard bearer for initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills at the operational and strategic level, as well as the ability to apply logical and evaluative thinking to define problems, collect information, establish facts, and determine optimal courses of action.
  • Strong skills in diplomacy, conflict resolution, presentations, communications, facilitation, and relationship building.
  • Must be able to anticipate issues and proactively resolve highly complex and undefined issues with high visibility and moderate to high risk of impact on partnerships.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PC-based software, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Valid drivers' license and car, along with willingness to travel BC and be flexible accommodating evening meetings, overnight stays, and home-based working.
