In alignment with Northern Health's vision for an integrated service model, we aim to provide comprehensive primary care services within Primary Care Homes, supported by collaborative interprofessional teams.

The Primary Care Physiotherapist adheres to the professional standards set forth by the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia, ensuring the delivery of safe, ethical, and effective care.

As a vital member of the interprofessional team, the Primary Care Physiotherapist utilizes best practices to offer competent care across various settings, including medical practices, community environments, and educational institutions.

This role involves providing clinical follow-up based on the individual's Primary Care Plan and personal health objectives, collaborating with the interprofessional team to develop tailored care strategies.

Our commitment to supporting individuals and their families in achieving optimal health is paramount, and the Primary Care Physiotherapist plays a crucial role in this mission.

Primary Care Networks represent a collaborative effort among Divisions of Family Practice, regional health authorities, and local community partners, including nurse practitioners, to enhance the primary and community care landscape.


Work Schedule: : Monday to Friday, Day Shift - 08:30 to 16:30

Qualifications

  • Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in acute care, long-term care, or community settings.
  • A valid BC Driver's license, if required.

Technical Skills:
Proficient in using Meditech and Windows-based applications. Demonstrates data analysis capabilities and familiarity with communication tools.
