About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Primary Care Transformation Partner to join our team at Doctors of BC. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the healthcare system in the Northern Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with physician leaders, executive directors, and health authority senior leaders to facilitate and align activities, guide vision and strategy, resolve issues, and eliminate barriers to advance primary care transformation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including physician leaders, executive directors, and health authority senior leaders.
  • Provide strategic guidance to develop a common agenda and serve as a thought leader/standard bearer for initiatives.
  • Apply logical and evaluative thinking to define problems, collect information, establish facts, and determine optimal courses of action.
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to complex problems, often with high visibility and moderate to high risk of impact on partnerships.
Requirements
  • An undergraduate university degree in a recognized and related field, and up to four years of progressive and relevant experience; an equivalent level of related work experience in-lieu of post-secondary education will be considered.
  • A Master's degree in a health or business-related field is preferred.
  • Proven ability to collaborate significantly with peers organization-wide.
  • Previous success working highly autonomously, with nominal direction while practicing discretion and judgment.
  • Ability to conduct highly complex and highly specialized work activities associated with your partner group and provide expert advice and solutions to achieve broader organizational results.
  • Strong problem-solving skills at the operational and strategic level, as well as the ability to apply logical and evaluative thinking to define problems, collect information, establish facts, and determine optimal courses of action.
  • Strong skills in diplomacy, conflict resolution, presentations, communications, facilitation, and relationship building.
  • Must be able to anticipate issues and proactively resolve highly complex and undefined issues with high visibility and moderate to high risk of impact on partnerships.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PC-based software, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Valid drivers' license and car, along with willingness to travel BC and be flexible accommodating evening meetings, overnight stays, and home-based working.
